As an InStyle.com user navigates from page-to-page, the Transitional ad unit serves between pages as a full page ad. This full page ad will then timeout after a specified duration before revealing the InStyle.com website. InStyle.com will work with Pointroll to serve this unit for our advertisers.
Advertiser must provide (at minimum):- 900x500 Static image as .jpg/.gif and/or Flash (.swf) file, source (.fla) file and fonts used
- 1x1 and click tracker OR landing URL
- Transitional ad unit must be served by Instyle.com's vendor, Pointroll. Assets built to the above specifications should be sent to InStyle.com.
- Frequency capped at 1 Transitional per user per 12 hours
- Transitional ad unit creative must be under 100k
- Animation duration is capped at 15 seconds max
- All assets must be sent to the specifications above 10 business days prior to launch

As an InStyle.com user navigates from page-to-page, the Video Transitional ad unit serves between pages as a full page ad. This full page ad will then timeout after a specified duration before revealing the People.com website. InStyle.com will work with Pointroll to build this unit for our advertisers from the assets listed below.
.MOV file:- Weight: Under 40MB
- Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (preferred) or 4:3
- Length: 15-30 seconds
- 1x1 (if 3rd Party Tracking is desired)
- Click Command or Landing URL
- Video Transistional ad unit must be 3rd party ad served by InStyle.com's approved vendor, Pointroll
- Frequency capped at 1 Transitional per user per 24 hours
- Video duration is capped at 30 seconds max
- Maximum of 4 videos accepted for the duration of the campaign

OPA Pushdown Click to view demo Execution:
The Pushdown is a premium InStyle.com homepage and channel mainpage ad unit that automatically expands downward pushing the site content down with it, expanding creative opportunities and capturing audience attention. The Pushdown unit then auto collapses into a persistent ad on the page which can be expanded by our users for additional information and functionality. This OPA unit is 970x66 in its collapsed state and 970x418 expanded. This unit must be third party served and requires a 5 day turnaround time for testing and positioning. If no third party vendor is available, please send assets built to the specifications below and allow for a 10 day turnaround. All pushdown creatives require edit approval.
InStyle.com Specifications:- Dimensions: Collapsed State: 970x66, Expanded State: 970x418
- File Size: 40k initial load max, 100k subsequent load max
- Expansion: Auto expansion frequency capped at 1 per user per day, subsequent expansions must be user initiated on click
- Duration: 8 seconds on frequency capped auto expansion, 30 seconds max for subsequent user initiated expansions
- May include video functionality
- Must contain a clearly defined Expand & Close click button - user initiated expansion on rollover not allowed
- The ad must collapse if the user clicks the close button OR if the user does not interact with the user initiated expanded ad for 8 seconds.
- Frame Labels: The main timeline should contain the (3) three frame labels below to control the behavior as follows:

When the ad reaches its minimum height of 66 pixels, the playback head will display this frame label
- This frame label should contain the collapsed 970x66 portion of the ad

While the pushdown ad is expanding and pushing page elements downwards, the playback head will display this frame label
- This frame label should contain static imagery for when the ad expands

Once the ad has completed expanding and reaches the max height of 418 pixels, the playback head will display this frame label

InStyle.com Skinning is a Premium Rich Media Feature which provides an extensive array of skinning effects allowing advertisers to create immersive branding experiences. InStyle.com offers skinning alongside exclusive sponsorships, site features or editorial specials. Additionally, advertisers can leverage gutter skinning alongside Channel Main Page Roadblocks and (based on site approval) Homepage Roadblocks. The site skin is served by Unicast. Please send assets built to the specifications shown and download the design template below for additional instructions. All layers can be added to this template, saved and sent back to adops_instyle@timeinc.com.

Look of the Day Widget Execution:
The Look of the Day Widget is a grabable widget which lives on the right rail of the Look of the Day feature. A bar at the bottom of the widget clicks to flip and display an ad.
Advertiser must provide:- 88x31 logo - .gif or .jpeg
- 300x250 image - .gif or .jpeg
- There is a 5 day turnaround if the advertiser supplies files built to spec.
- The widget does not accept 1x1 impression tracking. The advertiser can supply a click command for the 300x250 flipped ad. The bottom banner for the edit portion of the widget will ONLY click to flip the widget to reveal the ad.
Custom Integration Opportunities
Hollywood Makeover Tool Integration Execution:
The Hollywood Makeover section provides advertisers with the opportunity for seamless integration in the tool. Please reach out to your sales contact or Erin Colleran for details.
InStyle.com specifications:- Full integration within the tool requires 60 days lead time including implementation, testing and approval.

Channel Main Sponsored Tout Execution:
The Channel Main Sponsored Tout is available on the Celebrity, Fashion, and Beauty Channel Main Pages. The sponsored tout replaces the 6th edit tout space in the Special Features section. This placement is used to drive traffic to a custom element of an advertiser’s InStyle.com campaign.
Advertiser must provide (at minimum):- 120x144 Static image - .jpg/.gif - 40K Max
- Headline copy: 16 characters max - This portion is clickable.
- Body copy: 40 Characters max - This portion is NOT clickable.
- This unit can accept 1x1 tracking and a click command.

The What's Right Now Sponsored Blog Post will link to a permalink page. This custom environment provides a rich canvas for advertisers to engage readers, feature custom video, photos, tips or additional brand information encouraging reader interaction. The blog post lives in the third position on the blog at all times.
Sponsored Blog Post Requirements:- Option 1: Client will provide a .gif, .swf or 3rd Party Tag.
