As a People.com user navigates from page-to-page, the Transitional ad unit serves between pages as a full page ad. This full page ad will then timeout after a specified duration before revealing the people.com website. This unit is built and served by Unicast. As such, People.com will work with Unicast to build this unit for our advertisers.
Advertiser must provide (at minimum):- 640x480 Static image as .jpg/.gif and/or Flash (.swf) file, source (.fla) file and fonts used
- 1x1 and/or click trackers you wish to use
- May include video functionality, click here for Unicast accepted formats and delivery information.
- Transistional ad unit must be 3rd party ad served by Unicast
- Frequency capped at 1 Transitional per user per 24 hours
- Transistional ad unit creative must be under 100k (streaming video can be an additional 1MB max)
- Video/animation duration is capped at (15) seconds max and can be host initiated
- All audio must be user initiated by click
- If video/audio is enabled, ad unit must contain play, pause and audio control buttons
- All assets must be sent to Unicast to thier specifications (10) business days prior to launch

The People.com Photo Gallery Interstitial is a Premium Rich Media Ad format which is designed to deliver an Advertisement as users navigate past the 5th photo in a gallery. Upon selecting the Next button, the 300x250 ad collapses and an OverThePage ad takes over the photo gallery viewer. Upon selecting the More Photos button, the user will be redirected to the next photo in the gallery. This unit can be third party served and requires a 5 day turnaround time for testing and positioning.

The People.com StarTracks Overlay is a custom unit that serves onto the homepage Startracks tout. The unit serves immediately upon page load and dissolves after 8 seconds. This unit needs to be site served by People.com, but can accept third party tracking. People.com requires a 5 day turnaround time for testing and positioning.

The People.com Startracks Superstitial is a Premium Rich Media Ad format which is designed to deliver an Advertisement as a user clicks into the Startracks Photo Gallery. As they enter the gallery, they will be presented with a 994x500 ad for 8 seconds, before it collapses into the 300x250 next to slide 1's picture. This unit can be third party served and requires a 5 day turnaround time for testing and positioning.

OPA Pushdown Click to view demo Execution:
The Pushdown is a premium People.com homepage and mainpage ad unit that automatically expands downward pushing the site content down with it, expanding creative opportunities and capturing audience attention. The Pushdown unit then auto collapses into a persistent ad on the page which can be expanded by our users for additional information and functionality. This OPA unit is 970x66 in its collapsed state and 970x418 expanded. This unit can be third party served and requires a 5 day turnaround time for testing and positioning.
People.com Specifications:- Dimensions: Collapsed State: 970x66, Expanded State: 970x418
- File Size: 40k initial load max, 100k subsequent load max
- Expansion: Auto expansion frequency capped at 1 per user per day, subsequent expansions must be user initiated on click
- Duration: 8 seconds on frequency capped auto expansion, 30 seconds max for subsequent user initiated expansions
- May include video functionality
- Must contain a clearly defined Expand & Close click button - user initiated expansion on rollover not allowed
- The ad must collapse if the user clicks the close button OR if the user does not interact with the user initiated expanded ad for 8 seconds.
- Frame Labels: The main timeline should contain the (3) three frame labels below to control the behavior as follows:

When the ad reaches its minimum height of 66 pixels, the playback head will display this frame label
- This frame label should contain the collapsed 970x66 portion of the ad

While the pushdown ad is expanding and pushing page elements downwards, the playback head will display this frame label
- This frame label should contain static imagery for when the ad expands

Once the ad has completed expanding and reaches the max height of 418 pixels, the playback head will display this frame label

Peelback Click to view demo Execution:
The Peelback ad unit will render as an over-the-page floater in the top-right corner. This unit is rendered to the page in its collapsed state and upon user interaction "folds-open" to reveal the full advertiser messaging and ad content. This unit must be third party served. If a third party vendor is needed, People.com recommends Unicast for these types of units. As such, People.com will work with the third party vendor to build this unit for our advertisers.

- Frequency capped at 1 Peelback per user per 24 hours
- Initial collapsed state: 150x113 at 20k max
- Expanded state: 675x508 at 100k max

Expansion must be user initiated and follow the "same-in, same-out" rule:
- Expansion on mouse-over, requires collapse on mouse-off or Expansion on click, requires click to collapse
- Expanded panel should contain clearly labeled CLOSE instructions (X CLOSE button if click) in Arial/ALL CAPS/11px/Bold font
- Video/animation is allowed in either expanded or collapsed states
- All audio must be user initiated by click
- If video/audio is enabled, ad unit must contain play, pause and audio control buttons

People Site Skin Execution:
The People.com Site Skin ad unit is served to either side of our content within the People.com page "gutters." This unit is available on the People.com homepage and TV Watch pages. The site skin is served by Unicast. Please send assets built to the specifications below.
People.com specifications:- Image Sizes:
- Flash Gutters (clickable) = 140x600 - SWF,FLA and fonts
- Background Images = 1800x1200 - GIF/JPG
- Weight:
- 50K Background
- 50K a piece for each flash panel (which is loaded politely)
- All assets must be received by People.com at adopspeople@timeinc.com, to the above specifications no fewer than (10) business days prior to launch
The flash gutters, whether static or animated, should include the advertiser logo.
Background images should be uncomplicated textures that are continuous tone or simple color blocks to optimize the image quality for the available image file size. Flat color and simple two-tone gradients work best.
To create a seamless experience between the clickable banners and background image, we suggest making the banners transparent and include all messaging, logos, complex imagery and call to actions within the flash gutters.
Avoid busy textures at the top of the background image, as there are editorial links—including the site logo—that are surfaced atop the skin. People.com edit reserves the right to ask for design adjustments in the event that editorial links and logo are not legible.

The Photos Main Tout is served in-line with editorial touts on the Photos Main page and is used to drive traffic to a custom program. This unit is comprised of a thumbnail image, headline, body and call-to-action copy.
Advertiser must provide (at minimum):- 150x113 Static image as .jpg/.gif
- Filesize for image is 10k max
- Headline copy: 25 characters max including spaces
- Body copy: 50 Characters max including spaces
- Call-to-action copy (optional): 15 Characters max including spaces
- Click command and/or 1x1 tracking pixel
- All assets must be recieved by People.com at adopspeople@timeinc.com, to the above specifications no fewer than (3) business days prior to launch
